In this week’s episode I sit down with Derrick Chua. Derrick Chua is an entertainment lawyer, independent theatre producer, and was the president of the Toronto Fringe for ten years. In our conversation today we discuss how he got involved in the world of theatre, how he began producing shows, as well as how his experiences practicing law have helped him as a theatre producer. We also discuss his experiences co-founding Studio 180, his experiences with the Fringe Festival both in Toronto and Edinburgh, as well as where he sees theatre in Canada headed in the future.
